Project Update #5: Now We're Getting Somewhere!

Well today was pretty productive.

Today, Anika, Megan and I tackled the problem of how to keep the position of the model's face (aka my face) the same throughout the stop motion. We came up with ideas along the lines of taping my face down, tying me down, and other things that didn't really seem to get to where we wanted. Somehow, from there, we ended up with the idea of using a block of wood to keep my head in the same position, and that sounded pretty plausible, so we ventured into the STAC room to look for some wood. Upon going in there, we found some wood, but I saw some fishing line and wondered, "well why can't we use that?" So I brought up the idea to the both of them and we decided to test it out. And for the most part, it worked pretty well at keeping the face straight. Now all we need to do is figure out how to keep the strings from showing, but this method is pretty darn effective. Tomorrow, we'll be testing this with the actual makeup.
